red coals . . .
    she persuades me
        to stay in bed

—Mike Farley

About the author: I live with my wife Shirlee on a cattle ranch near the little ski town of Red Lodge, Montana, and have been loving and writing haiku for several years now. I draw my inspiration from the images of the high-plains, mountains, weather, wildlife, livestock, ranch work and outdoor recreation which surround me daily.

    I'm surprised this hasn't received more responses. It's a good one. :)

I'd also like to see this in a haibun!
But on the other hand it's already novelesque! ;-)

Thanks everyone for your thoughtful comments.
And I'll give the haibun idea some thought Alan, but it's hard enough (for me at least) to write (hopefully) good three-liners - I don't know if I have the wherewithall to tackle an entire paragraph. Ha! Thanks again all, Mike
